MAKAWALU VISUAL ARTS SCHOOL is a fine arts program
that focuses on the relationship of the native Hawaiian to his environment
through art and is developed and instructed by members of the Hālau
O Kekuhi and the Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation. Makawalu Visual
Arts School encourages youth and adults to participate in local
and statewide art exhibits. |

Ka ‘Aha Hula ‘O Hālauaola [more

Hosted by the Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation
and the Lālākea Foundation, Ka ‘Aha Hula ‘O
Hālauaola brought together over 120 Kumu Hula (Hula Masters)
and practitioners for an international conference on Hula. The event
was held in Hilo, July 29 thru August 4, 2001. |
