MAKAWALU VISUAL ARTS SCHOOL is a fine arts program
that focuses on the relationship of the native Hawaiian to his environment
through art and is developed and instructed by members of the Ha&_macron;lau
O Kekuhi and the Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation. Makawalu Visual
Arts School encourages youth and adults to participate in local
and statewide art exhibits. |

Ka ‘Aha Hula ‘O Ha&_macron;lauaola [more

Hosted by the Edith Kanaka‘ole Foundation
and the La&_macron;la&_macron;kea Foundation, Ka ‘Aha Hula ‘O
Ha&_macron;lauaola brought together over 120 Kumu Hula (Hula Masters)
and practitioners for an international conference on Hula. The event
was held in Hilo, July 29 thru August 4, 2001. |
