I. Ka ‘Ōlelo Ho‘ākāka:
Introduction
A situation or problem is presented that
encourages students to ask questions. Or students can make their
own observations and generate their own questions on any given topic
of interest.

II. Nā Loina Hawai‘i:
Traditions
Students are encouraged to investigate and research
cultural aspects and traditions of project that will be included
in display presentation.
- Interview members of ‘ohana, community.
- Take pictures for display presentation.

III. Nā ‘Ikepili: Findings/Information
Organize all the information found in an orderly manner. This is
the body of the report.
- Results should be presented in a written summary.
- Graphs are helpful to show findings/info.
- Pictures will play a major part of the display.
- Include a bibliography to cite important resources used.

IV. Ka Panina Mana‘o: Conclusion
After researching and gathering all information,
what now? How can we help as people of the land and sea? What does
this mean for us? How will knowing all of this help us in our decision
making in our lives?
