Scientific Name: Gomphosus varius
Description: The male is blue and bright green;
the female is white with a black spot on every single scale.
The male has a blue snout and the female has an orange snout.
This fish can grow up to 12 inches or longer. This fish eats
small crabs and shrimp.
Interesting Fact: This fish is called the Hi&_macron;na&_macron;lea
‘I‘iwi because of the sharp of its snout. It looks just like
the beak of the ‘I‘iwi bird.
